A 15-year-old girl was killed, and another person was injured when their motorcycle hit a mine planted by the TNLA and PDF terrorist groups in Kyaukme Township.
The incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. on October 25. U Aung Pan, a 53-year-old man from Chaung Tan Village, was riding with Ma Cherry, a 15-year-old girl from Par Pote Village, along the Kyaukme-Mong Ngow Road on their way to visit a field. Upon reaching the field, they struck a mine that had been planted by the TNLA and PDF, resulting in an explosion. Ma Cherry died from the blast, while U Aung Pan sustained injuries. He was taken to the temporary public hospital in Ward No. 2, Kyaukme Township, for treatment.
At 3:05 p.m. on October 24, U Hla Than, a 62-year-old resident of Htan Tabin Village in Pauk Township, Magway Region, was injured when he stepped on a mine while cutting bamboo in a forest near Pauk Stream, approximately one mile south of his home. Reports indicate that security forces arrived to inspect the scene and subsequently took him to Pauk Township General Hospital for treatment.
