Authorities arrested a group of individuals involved in online gambling fraud in Suan Saw Ward, Muse Town, Shan State (North).
The incident took place around 4:15 PM yesterday, leading to the arrest of 38 people—4 Chinese men, 25 Myanmar men, and 9 women. They were found in a house along with 155 mobile phones, 30 all-in-one computers, 10,000 Chinese yuan, 1 million Myanmar kyats, and 2 Crown-type vehicles.
Security forces continued their search and rescue operations, leading to the arrest of 4 Myanmar men at around 5 PM from a nearby house. During this operation, they confiscated 95 additional mobile phones, 1 laptop, and 2 WiFi devices.
Following the necessary investigations, strict action will be taken against those arrested for their involvement in online gambling fraud, in accordance with existing laws. The seized business equipment will also be processed following the appropriate procedures.
