President U Min Aung Hlaing, who arrived in China on a state visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, was accorded a red-carpet welcome and a guard of honor upon his arrival.
At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President U Min Aung Hlaing of Myanmar is paying a state visit to China from June 15 to 19. He departed from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport for Beijing at 8:00 a.m. today and arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport at approximately 2:00 p.m. local time.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by a senior Chinese government official, the Myanmar Ambassador to China, and officials from the Myanmar Embassy in China.
During the visit, which is being made at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President U Min Aung Hlaing will hold meetings with President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China.
President U Min Aung Hlaing will also attend an economic forum, where discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral friendship and cooperation, promoting trade and investment, and enhancing technical cooperation between the two countries.
In addition, recognizing that national development depends on peace and stability, both sides are expected to exchange views on matters relating to internal peace, stability, and security in border areas.
