The Ministry of Home Affairs reported a deadly attack on June 1, 2025. PDF forces fired heavy weapons into Wasundara Village in Madaya Township, Mandalay Region. The attack took place at around 7:30 PM.
Explosions occurred inside the village due to the shelling. A two-year-old child, Maung Ka Yan Moe, was seriously injured and later died. Four others were injured in the blast. The victims are:

U Kyaw Moe (37)
U Nay Shine (29)
They were taken to Mandalay General Hospital for treatment.
Since the Spring Revolution began on February 1, 2021, around 10,000 monks, nuns, teachers, students, and civil servants have reportedly been killed. They were accused of being informants, Pyu Saw Htee members, or supporting the government.
About 15,000 schools, hospitals, and infrastructure projects have also been attacked or destroyed by NLD, CRPH, NUG, PDF, and EAO groups.
