The Ministry of Education’s basic education schools for the 2025-2026 academic year opened nationwide on June 2, with about (6) million students attending.
A total of (5,822,954) students are currently attending basic education schools, monastic schools, and private schools in various regions and states, including Nay Pyi Taw.
The Chief Ministers of the respective regions and states have been watching the opening and encouraging the students, teachers, students, parents, and security teams and township administrations are working together to ensure that students can study peacefully and safely.
