The Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Zhao You Jun, together with company officials, donated 11 types of items, including consumer goods and medicines, to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Investment (MIFER) who were affected by the earthquake. The donation was made on the afternoon of 28 May at the ministry Office No. 1 in Nay Pyi Taw.
Dr Kan Zaw expressed gratitude, saying that nearly 80 per cent of the ministry’s staff based in Nay Pyi Taw had been affected by the earthquake. He thanked Huawei for providing urgently needed supplies, including temporary tents, mosquito nets, medicines, water purification units and related materials.
The Union Minister, the Deputy Minister, the Director-General, and other senior officials received the relief items on behalf of the ministry and presented a certificate of appreciation to Mr Zhao You Jun in recognition of Huawei’s generous contribution.
