According to the Ministry of Health’s announcement at 8 am on May 27, 6 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in a week from May 18 to 25.
2,754 laboratory samples were tested during the week, with a detection rate of 0.22 percent and no deaths.
All 6 new COVID-19 cases are from Yangon Region, including 2 from Dagon Township, 1 from Insein Township, 1 from Thaketa Township, 1 from Kawhhu Township, and 1 from Dagon Myothit (Eastern) Township.
As neighboring Thailand has seen a resurgence in COVID-19 cases, Myanmar has also seen a resurgence in COVID-19 cases since May.
