Over 1,170,000 domestic and foreign tourists visited Kyaikthiyo Pagoda from October 2024 to May 19, 2025, according to the pagoda’s treasurer’s board of trustees.
The Buddha Puja festival of the Kyaikthiyo Pagoda is held from the full moon day of Thadingyut to the full moon day of Kason. Pilgrims from all over the region come to visit every day, with the highest number of visitors in December 2024.
To ensure that pilgrims are safe and able to visit the pagoda with peace of mind, the pagoda treasurer and officials are closely monitoring security, providing free accommodation, food, and health care, and are also providing 150 mountaineering vehicles daily.
