Third Amendment to Civil Service Personnel Law

The State Administration Council as enacted this law under Section 419 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
1. This law shall be called the Third Amendment to the Civil Service Personnel Law.
2. Sub-section (h) of Section 10 of the Civil Service Personnel Law shall be substituted as follows: –
“(h) attending advanced courses for the purpose of the position of Head of Service Organization conducted by ministries and organizations in addition to the courses set for relevant ranks by the Union Civil Service Board”
Explanation: The advanced course for the purpose of the position of Head of Service Organization means the courses recognized by the UCSB for these ranks and duties.
3. Section 29 of the Civil Service Personnel Law shall be substituted as follows: –
“Section 29: Except for special issues, in promoting ranks of the service personnel –
(a) They must have attended the courses set for relevant ranks.
(b) They must have attended the advanced course conducted by ministries and organizations for the positions and duties of Head of Service Organization.
Explanation: The special issues mean reviews and decisions to promote rank of the service personnel by ministries and organizations depending on work performance and efficiency of those service personnel.
4. The expression “Central Institutes of Civil Services” mentioned in Section 35 of the Civil Service Personnel Law shall be substituted with “State Service Academies”.
