India donated (225) tons of cement (4,500 bags of 50 kg) to be used in the earthquake-affected areas of Mandalay. The cargo was transported by the Myanmar Navy’s UMS Myik Kyi Nar ship and arrived at Thilawa Port at 10 am on May 23.
The cement was handed over to Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials by H.E. Mr. Abhay Thakur, Ambassador of the Embassy of India in Myanmar, at Thilawa Port.
Then, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein expressed his gratitude and the received cement was loaded onto trucks and transported to the earthquake-affected areas under the supervision of the Yangon Region Government. #India #donates #earthquake #Myanmar #mtnews
