The Tatmadaw True News Information Team released a statement on 9 May, today that 32 local people were killed and 14 people were injured by the bomb blasts due to the PDF’s unprovoked firing of heavy weapons into the village of Soneywa, Myingyan Township.
Today, the morning of May 9, as the PDFs attacked Soneywa village in the east of Semigoon village, 17 men and 15 women from the village were killed by the PDFs attacked with small arms. and 5 men and 9 women were injured by the bomb.
The terrorists torched houses in the village and killed villagers including children on their way to retreat. As per reports, around 50 houses were destroyed in the fire set ablaze by the terrorists. At present, the officials are carrying out the fire extinguishing process and clearing the area. The injured have also been sent to the local army hospital in Mandalay for treatment.
