Myanmar year 1386, the first day of the Myanmar New Year, at the time when the old year ends and the new year begins, all the people of the country consider it as a happy and blessed day. They do good deeds and welcome the new year.
Pagodas and monasteries in various regions and states are crowded with pious people who do good deeds. Pagodas including the Great Marawizaya Buddha Statue and Uppata Santhi Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Territories, Shwe Tigon Pagoda, Sule Pagoda in Yangon, Botahtaung Pagoda, and the mighty Pagodas including the Maha Myat Muni Statue in Mandalay and the Pagoda Pagodas around the country are crowded with pilgrims doing good deeds.
In addition, the water park in Nay Pyi Taw, the U Pein Bridge in Mandalay, the National Lake Park in Pyin U Lwin, Pathein Township in Ayeyawaddy Region, Chaung Thar Beach, the Ngwe Saung beach and recreation areas are also crowded with people relaxing.
