Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda Festival closed with a closing ceremony.

At the historic Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda festival in Minbu(Sagu) Township, Magway Region, the closing ceremony of the festival was held yesterday.

The event was attended by U Myo Myint, Magway Region Social Affairs Minister, U Tun Khin,  Ethnic Affairs Minister, and other relevant officials.

The ceremony ended with attendees taking five precepts from the Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda Ovadacariya Sayadaws and donating offerings and day meals to Sayadaws. Additionally, an estimated 10,000 pond goldfish and 5,000 rohu fish were released into Mann Creek to celebrate the 1386 Myanmar New Year.

From the 5th Waxing of Tabodwe to the 1st day of Myanmar New Year, the pagoda festival lasted 64 days. There were about 1,000 guesthouses and over 800 stalls during the festival.
