President U Min Aung Hlaing, who is on an official visit to India, paid homage at the revered Mahabodhi Temple in the Bodh Gaya cultural zone on the morning of May 30. He also offered alms food, drinking water, and flowers to the sacred Buddha image.
The President donated cash offerings at the temple’s guest hall, signed the visitors’ record book, and toured the Bodh Gaya cultural area.
The Myanmar delegation, led by President U Min Aung Hlaing, is on a five-day official visit to India from May 30 to June 3 at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
During the visit, the President is scheduled to hold talks with the President of India and meet with Prime Minister Modi for bilateral discussions. He will also receive Indian cabinet ministers, state leaders, and representatives of business organizations.
In addition, the President is expected to visit prominent infrastructure projects. The visit will provide an opportunity for both sides to exchange views and discuss cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including economic, religious, cultural, and social affairs, with the aim of strengthening ties between the governments and peoples of the two countries.
