The Central Bank of Myanmar has announced that it will sell 30 million Thai baht to importers on the foreign exchange market (FX Trading Platform).
Additionally, the Central Bank sold 10 million Chinese yuan to importers on December 31. It frequently sells U.S. dollars to importers of essential domestic fuels, having sold over 1.1 billion dollars in the first nine months of this fiscal year.
In the foreign exchange market, the dollar is trading at approximately 4,100 kyats per dollar, 130 kyats per Thai baht, and 589 kyats per Chinese yuan. However, the Central Bank is selling foreign currencies through the Online Trading Platform at 3,650 kyats per dollar, 125 kyats per Thai baht, and 557 kyats per Chinese yuan.
