At a time when the country needs to make progress on multiple fronts, it is essential to adopt a broad perspective in addressing political disagreements, stated the Acting President and SSPC Chairman, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
“The key is that we need to work on all fronts. Additionally, we must adopt a wide-ranging perspective in our political discussions for the benefit of the Union. I’ve noticed that some of the views expressed are weak. Many are focusing on politics, religion, and ethnicity. We believe it would be more beneficial to engage in dialogue and work with a broader perspective. At the same time, we must put in a strong effort,” said Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing emphasized that building a modern and developed nation relies on two key areas: the development of the education sector and the growth of manufacturing.
“Our efforts must focus on two fronts. First, we must address the education sector, which is currently lacking. Secondly, we need to enhance our manufacturing capabilities. I have stated this before. As it stands, we primarily export natural resources such as minerals, oil and gas, and forest products. However, our exports of manufactured goods are considerably weak. This is an important point I want to highlight. Therefore, we need to effectively utilize our water resources and forests to develop our manufacturing industry. Relying solely on the sale of natural resources is not a sustainable approach. A robust business model requires active production and work,” said Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
