The opening ceremony of the new Dawei City Hall building in Dawei, Tanintharyi Region was held on the morning of September 18, and was attended by the Interim President of Myanmar, Chairman of the National Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
The new Dawei City Hall building was approved by the Interim President during his visit to Dawei in 2022 to build a city hall in Dawei.
The construction of the new Dawei City Hall building began in the 2023-2024 fiscal year and is a 40,364 square foot (1-story) RCC building.
