The Myitkyina City Meteorological Department said that the Myitkyina City Ayeyarwady River is not in a condition that could cause flooding of the River. Currently, due to heavy rains in the upper reaches of the Ayeyarwady River, the water level in Myitkyina City has slightly risen.
The Myitkyina River water level rose by more than (3) feet since (6:30 PM) yesterday, and has not risen or fallen since this morning. As of this evening, the Myitkyina River water level is about (18.5) feet away from reaching the critical water mark of 1200 centimeters.
Although the Myitkyina River may have risen slightly from its low point due to heavy rains in the upper reaches of the Ayeyarwady River, there is no evidence of a flood situation in the River yet.
