According to the Myanmar Police Force, authorities have seized three million stimulant tablets worth an estimated 4.5 billion Kyats in Waw Township, Bago Region.
The seizure was made near Nyaungkhashay Village in Waw Township on 8 May at around 3:30 pm. Kyaw Zin Oo, accompanied by Ma Mon Mon Nyein, drove a 12-wheeled Mitsubishi Fuso truck intercepted by a combined task force.
Based on a tip-off, the police stopped the vehicle and searched it, revealing stimulant tablets hidden onboard. According to preliminary investigations, the drugs were transported from Shan State to Kayin State for distribution.
Legal action was taken against the individuals involved under existing laws, and efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest others connected to the trafficking network, according to police sources.
