The Happy Monsoon & Back to School Festival will be held at Yangon Zoo in Yangon Region from May 16 to May 18. During the festival, there will be Baby Talent Shows by children, stunning magic shows, musical performances by JOY Band, photo shoots with cute baby birds, and Talk Shows by Yangon Zoo (Education Department) to discuss interesting facts and general knowledge about baby animals.
Yangon Zoo is the oldest zoo in Southeast Asia and was opened on January 25, 1906. Currently, it has about 350 species of animals and about 1,400 animals, and is spread over 57 acres of land. In addition to the Natural History Museum, it also has an Elephant Museum.
The Yangon Zoological Park Administration Office said that shops will be open to sell school and consumer goods and food for parents visiting the Happy Monsoon & Back to School festival.
