Myanmar hosted this event for the second time from April 28 to May 1 at the LOTTE HOTEL in Yangon. Naval officers from ASEAN countries arrived in Yangon by air on April 28 to participate in the meeting. They attended the opening ceremony on April 29, where they discussed the history of each country’s navy and the theme, “Let’s work together to achieve regional peace, stability, and maritime security through unity.”
The Chief of Staff (Navy), Vice Admiral Aye Min Htwe, welcomed the naval officers from ASEAN countries at the Sapphire Ballroom in the LOTTE HOTEL on the morning of April 29. He delivered a speech, and the officers then extended their individual greetings.
Following the speeches, a group photo was taken, and commemorative gifts were exchanged. In the evening, the Chief of Staff (Navy) hosted a dinner to honor the guests.
During their stay, the ASEAN naval officers participated in rowing and sailing competitions at the Myanmar Navy Rowing Club located on Inya Lake. They also visited the No. 1 Strategic Fleet, the Naval Training Headquarters, and went on field trips to the Shwedagon Pagoda and Bogyoke Aung San Market.
The ASEAN naval officers departed for their respective countries by air on the morning and evening of May 1.
