According to the National University of Arts and Culture, Yangon, the Mekong-Lancang Cultural Activity 2024 in Myanmar will take place in Bagan, NyaungU District, Mandalay Region.
The event will be held under the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2024) programme and will feature an art exhibition on 25 February at the Archaeological Museum in Bagan.
“Mekong-Lancang countries such as Myanmar, China, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam will be included in the programme. Many art exchange programmes will be conducted in collaboration with artists from these countries,” said an official from the National University of Arts and Culture, Yangon.
At the exhibition, the Mekong-Lancang region will showcase their artistic works of 12 Myanmar artists, four each from China, Cambodia, and Thailand, and two each from Laos and Vietnam.
