A New Year Thingyan festival was held by the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait on 18 April with teeming crowds from Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. The embassies of these four countries in Kuwait co-hosted this festival.
The festival featured group dances by Myanmar nationals in Kuwait, traditional Thai dance and Muay Thai boxing demonstration by Thai, and video clips of the great event held jointly by four nations in English.
Mr. Khalid Jassim Al-Yassin, Second Deputy Minister, Asia Department, Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassadors from ASEAN countries, Charges d’affaires, diplomats, the Myanmar community in Kuwait, and invited guests attended this four-country festival.
