Due to the intense fighting in the Thai-Myanmar border town Myawaddy, thousands of local residents have fled to Mae Sot. Thailand media are reporting that the Thai Prime Minister plans to visit Mae Sot to see the situation of the war-torn people who are fleeing. Currently, there are more than 3,000 refugees from the Myawati region who have arrived in the Mae Sot side, and they are being assisted by the management of the Mae Sot Mayor’s Office.
