Cultural Heritage Week held in Nanning, China

On 12 April, Myanmar Consul-General Daw Khine Hsu Lin attended the opening ceremony of the Second China-ASEAN (Nanning) Intangible Cultural Heritage Week in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the People’s Theatre from 12 to 18 April, different regional countries showcased cultural performance arts.

Eight Myanmar theatrical performers led by U Phoe Chit, chairperson of the Myanmar Theatrical Association, performed the Myanmar traditional ‘Thangetaw’ Dance, Bagan Dance and Thingyan Dance.

It was attended by more than 100 officials and distinguished guests, including Mr Wu Yujun, Director-General of the Guangxi Culture and Tourism Department.
