According to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, the Inlay Floating Thingyan Festival will be held for 4 days from April 13 to April 16 at the Inlay Water Farm Hall in Inlay Lake, Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State (Southern).
The Inlay Floating Thingyan Festival will include singing performances by singers and artists, dance performances by traditional cultural groups, songs by music groups, performances by Thingyan Yaim dance groups, and food and drink. In addition, can visit the local people’s floating tea plantations, silverware, weaving, and traditional handicrafts.
“Last year, there were people who came to Thingyan on the water. While visiting the Shan State, I experienced the Floating Thingyan Festival, so it’s like a new travel experience for visitors,” said an Inlay resident. During the Thingyan period, some hotels in Inlay have arranged to rent hotel rooms at special prices and discounts for those who want to visit the Inlay Floating Thingyan Festival and the Inlay region.
