The Yangon Region government Prime Minister U Soe Thein said that it will be held in a friendly way 10 regional water playing pavilions for the public to freely participate in the traditional Burmese Great Thingyan Festival in the public square, the Yangon City Great Thingyan Pavilion and Walking Thingyan will be held at City Hall, (43) central pavilions in districts/townships, Water playing pavilion (176) and Walking Thingyan (2).
The water sports pavilions and walking Thingyan include entertainment programs, food programs for people, and groups representing departments at the Great Thingyan pavilion in front of the city hall. It is reported that the performances of ethnic traditional culture dance groups will be performed on a daily basis.
