According to press reports, it is planned to hold more than 200 water pavilions in Yangon, including the central pavilion. In order to celebrate the Thingyan Festival in Yangon, the second business coordination meeting was held on April 1 at the regional government office. It is planned to hold 43 central pavilions in Yangon’s districts and townships, as well as 176 water pavilions and 2 walking Thingyan festivals.
In addition, 10 departmental water pavilions, a walking Thingyan and an entertainment pavilion, as well as a pavilion and a walking Thingyan will be held at the city hall. It is reported that the Chief Minister U Soe Thein instructed to cooperate and pay special attention to security for the successful celebration of the Thingyan festival.
