SAC amends the Political Parties Registration Law by substituting the phrase ‘at least 100,000 party members’ in the personal undertaking with ‘at least 50,000 party members’ to be mobilized by parties carrying out organizational activities across the entire union

Section 5 sub-section (f) stated that if the party will carry out organizational activities across the entire Union, the personal undertaking that at least 100,000 party members will be mobilized within 90 days after granting of registration as a political party.
In the Law Amending the Political Parties Registration Law enacted by SAC on 30 January, instead of 90 days, the day the commission issued a notification at least 90 days in advance before the election will be substituted, and instead of at least 100,000 party members, at least 50,000 party members will be substituted.

Similarly, section 5 sub-section (h) stated if the party will carry out organizational activities across the entire Union, the personal undertaking that the party offices will be opened in at least half of the townships across the entire Union within 180 days after granting of registration as a political party.

In the law amending the Political Parties Registration Law, the day the commission issued a notification at least 90 days in advance before the election will be substituted instead of 180 days, and at least one-third of the townships instead of at least half of the townships. Moreover, it substituted section 17, section 2 sub-section (g), and section 19 sub-section (a).
