The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar said that it opposes secessionist movements aimed at Taiwan independence and foreign interference in the internal affairs of other states, and fully supports China’s efforts for peaceful reunification.
Myanmar has always supported the One China Policy, and according to this policy, Taiwan (Chinese-Taipei) is regarded as an inseparable part of the People’s Republic of China, the statement said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reaffirmed that Myanmar has been maintaining good neighborly Pauk-Phaw relations with China and consistently supports the One China Policy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the statement yesterday, January 15th.
