Myanmar Embassy in Beijing holds new year religious ceremony and donation

Families of Myanmar Embassy in Beijing held a new year religious ceremony and donation at the Lincoln monastery in Beijing on 17 April, the Myanmar New Year Day.

At the ceremony, presiding sayadaw of Lincoln monastery Chen Zhang and sayadaws, director general of the Bureau of Religious Affairs of China and officials, staff and families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar military attaché office, Myanmar students who studied in Chin, Myanmar society in Beijing and guests were attended.

First, presiding sayadaws and monks recited new year sermons and Myanmar Ambassador to China U Tin Maung Swe extended new year opening greetings.

Afterward, Myanmar Ambassador and wife, Myanmar military attaché and wife presented offertories to Sayadaw and monks and offered water to Buddha.

Then, they donated Myanmar traditional foods to guests and pilgrims and Myanmar students performed with Myanmar traditional dances.
