Vietnam President Vo Van Thuong hosted a reception for ASEAN ambassadors to Vietnam at the president house in the evening of 17 April and Myanmar Ambassador to Vietnam U Kyaw Soe Win attended.
At the reception, Vietnam president extended greetings that he for relevant heads of countries and their people on the occasion of New Year of Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand.
Then, on behalf of the ASEAN ambassadors, Indonesia Ambassador to Vietnam conveyed congratulations the Vietnam President on being elected as the Vietnamese State leader. He pledged to support and contribute actively and effectively to further enhancing the relationship between Viet Nam and ASEAN countries, expressing his belief that under the sound leadership of the President, their friendship and cooperation would increasingly grow.
President Vo Van Thuong said as ASEAN ambassadors are main bridge in cooperation and relation between Vietnam and ASEAN state members, the ambassadors need to continue friendly cooperation.
