At about 4:30 pm of April 14, a combined team consisting of Drug Enforcement officers arrested Myint Zaw Oo (aka) Win Lwin, and Yan Naing Moe (aka) Ko Moe, after intercepting their vehicle heading from Mandalay to Hopin, at the cooperation checkpoint in the vicinity of Mohnyin Township, Kachin State and seized 27.72 kg of Heroin packed with 3080 soap cups which are hidden under the cement sacks from the vehicle. The seized drugs have an estimated street value of 690 million MMK. According to the initial interrogation, it was noted that the seized drugs were transported to Kachin State from Shan State. The investigations into all arrested suspects of this case are ongoing and CCDAC would like to inform that suspected offenders had been charged with Narcotic drugs and Psychoactive Substances Law.
