To reduce fuel consumption, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, emphasized the importance of implementing a system that allows for the exchange of old fuel-powered vehicles for the importation of electric vehicles (EVs). This statement was made during a meeting focused on the availability of fuel and fertilizers for agricultural activities.
As the hot and dry summer season begins, the use of air conditioners and electricity increases, leading to a higher reliance on generators, according to the Interim President.
The Acting President highlighted the necessity of conserving electricity and reducing the consumption of generator fuel and vehicle fuel. By decreasing fuel consumption, foreign exchange expenditures can also be minimized.
Therefore, he reiterated the need to establish a system whereby old fuel-powered vehicles can be returned when importing new electric vehicles. #Acting President #Fuel consumption #EV #mtnews
