At approximately 2:35 yesterday morning, security forces received reports of suspicious activity at a construction site for a retaining wall near Mae Sai Creek in Pon Htun Ward, Tachilek Town (East), Shan State. A group of individuals was seen crossing the wall with black bags, attempting to send these bags across Mae Sai Creek to Thailand. Upon investigation, authorities apprehended Sai Maung Wan (B) and Wan Wan, who were in possession of various bags.
A total of 13 bags containing drugs were seized, with the ice weighing an estimated 260 kilograms. Each of the 20-kilogram bags was marked in gold, white, or lead colors, and labeled with the Golden Leaf inscription, along with 999 transparent plastic bags.
The suspect arrested with the drugs has been transferred to the local police station for further legal action, and a case has been opened. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend additional suspects involved in this case. If you have any information regarding drug trafficking, please report it to the relevant authorities.
