The Taunggyi Tansaungdaing Balloon Festival, a major festival in Shan State, will be held for (7) days from October 29 to November 4 at the Aweyakone Tharyar Balloon Field in Taunggyi Township.
Despite the (7) days set, due to the large number of participating toy balloons, the competition will start on October 27, two days before the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony of the festival will be held as usual on October 29, and the closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held on November 5.
Last year, only 6 toy balloons and 49 balloons were released at the Taunggyi Tansaungdaing Balloon Festival. This year, it is planned to launch 10 toy balloons and more than 70 individual balloons per day.
