According to locals, Chaungtha and Ngwesaung have visited more tourists than last year during this Thadingyut holiday.
It is known that all the hotel rooms were full before the Thadingyut holiday and some people came back the same day because there were no rooms available.
Tourists visited from October (4) to (7), and the locals are happy because they have more local food and seafood souvenirs to sell.
Since it is also the open season, vendors and shops on the beach have also opened again. During this holiday, in addition to Chaungtha and Ngwesaung, there are also people visiting Mandalay, Bagan, Pyin Oo Lwin, Inle, Kalaw, and Taunggyi.
