Security forces are actively investigating and taking appropriate actions in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Multi-Party Democratic General Elections from Disruption. This law addresses activities such as speaking, organizing, protesting, writing letters, and displaying posters on social media and in public places, all aimed at undermining the 2025 multi-party democratic general election. Recently, nine additional individuals who attempted to disrupt the election have been arrested and face legal consequences.
Nine individuals attempting to disrupt and sabotage the multi-party democratic general elections have been arrested and are currently under investigation according to Section 23(a) of the Law on the Protection of Multi-Party Democratic General Elections from Disruption.
On August 25, the Taunggyi Township Court announced that Nay Thwe, a resident of Ayetharyar Township, had been sentenced to seven years in prison after being arrested under Section 23(a) of the Protection of Multi-Party Democracy General Elections Act.

In addition, two residents from Ward No. 6 of Hlaingtharyar (Eastern) Township, Aung Ye Htut (24) and Yan Naing Kyi Win (23), were identified and arrested for posting stickers with disruptive messages intended to interfere with the general elections. On September 19, it was reported that a case had been opened against them under Section 23(a) of the Protection of Multi-Party Democracy General Elections Act at the Hlaingtharyar (Eastern) Township Police Station (Pa) 817/2025.
