Prime Minister U Nyo Saw is currently in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China, to attend the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Economic and Investment Summit. Yesterday, he met with Mr. Chen Kang, the Secretary of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at the Liyuan State Guest House in Nanning.
During the meeting, participants discussed several key issues, including ways to further promote trade and investment between Myanmar and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. They also explored the dissemination of advanced technologies in the agricultural sector, cooperation in tourism, and the establishment of sister city relationships to enhance collaboration not only between the two cities but also between the two countries across various sectors.
Attendees at the meeting included the Prime Minister, Union Ministers Dr. Charlie Than, U Chit Swe, and Dr. Thet Khaing Win, as well as the Chief Minister of Kachin State, U Khet Htein Nang, Deputy Minister Dr. Zaw Myint, Myanmar’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, U Tin Maung Swe, the Myanmar Consul General in Nanning, and several other officials. On the Chinese side, the attendees included Mr. Wei Daung, the Secretary of the CPC Party of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Ms. Ma Jia, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, along with other officials.
In the evening, the Prime Minister and his delegation were taken to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, where the CPC Party Secretary hosted a dinner in their honor at the Chinese Hibiscus Hall of the Liyuan State Guest House in Nanning.
