The Central Executive Committee of the National Democratic Force (NDF) issued an appeal today to voters and party members regarding the dissolution of the party. They stated that the party had a total of 88,820 members and operated 117 township offices.
In preparation for the 2025 multi-party general election, the NDF attempted to re-register in accordance with the Political Parties Registration Law, aiming to fill party offices and increase membership despite facing political challenges. The number of party members, which was 88,820, and the count of township offices were submitted to the Union Election Commission (UEC) on September 7. However, in its announcement No. 95/2025, the UEC declared the NDF party dissolved due to an insufficient number of party members.
As a result, the National Democratic Force (NDF) sincerely apologizes to voters for its inability to continue participating in the current 2025 general election.

In addition, we are actively seeking to participate in the upcoming election and will continue to hold political positions confidently. We aim to leverage our skills and knowledge in the current sectors undergoing transformation in the country. In the context of the 2025 general election, we encourage members of the National Democratic Force (NDF) party to align with political parties that share their beliefs, whether as a matter of personal choice or democratic rights.
The NDF party has indicated that it has over 50,000 members competing nationwide, with plans to establish offices in one-third of all townships. However, the Union Election Commission (UEC) recently announced the dissolution of the NDF party, citing a lack of party members, which seems contradictory. Consequently, NDF officials are preparing to file a legal appeal. An official from the party posted on social media recounting that party membership forms, which numbered in the hundreds of thousands since 2010, were destroyed when the party office was burned down in 2024. Although the party successfully recruited 80,000 new members within a year, it fell short of the 50,000 minimum required, a situation that is regrettable and should not have occurred.
