At the invitation of the President of the People’s Republic of China, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, attended a military parade in Beijing to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The event took place in Tiananmen Square this morning.
The ceremony was attended by President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, heads of state and government from other countries, members of the high-level delegation from Myanmar, and the Chinese populace.

During the ceremony, the Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the People’s Republic of China, along with the international leaders, received a salute from the People’s Liberation Army Honor Guard and took their designated seats. President Xi Jinping personally greeted each of them.
Following this, the Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission and the international leaders posed for a group photo with President Xi Jinping.
Afterwards, the acting President, the Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, and international leaders attended the Tiananmen Rostrum, where the President of the People’s Republic of China, along with invited heads of state from abroad, watched the military parade.

The military parade was held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. First, the President of the People’s Republic of China delivered a speech and inspected the parade by motorcade. Following this, the military marched according to the parade program to salute the President and the attending heads of state.
After the parade, the acting President, the Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, and the invited international heads of state attended an honorary luncheon hosted by the President of the People’s Republic of China.
Before the military parade began, Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing reportedly met with the international leaders in attendance to discuss cooperation between their countries.
