As a result of terrorist attacks, Nawnghkio’s basic education schools were closed for more than a year. Students were able to learn peacefully in the schools after they reopened on 25 July. School enrolment has been provided.
A total of 61 basic education schools have reopened in the township, and 8,085 students are attending the schools at present.
The Nawnghkio Township Hospital was reopened on 2 August to provide healthcare services to locals. Medical treatment was provided to 89 outpatients, 83 locals were tested for blood type, and one patient was tested for dengue fever yesterday. Moreover, 36 inpatients are receiving medical treatment, and the medics offer proper healthcare services.
The members of the Fire Brigade conducted cleaning activities in the vicinity of the Hawtaw Monastery, southward, Nawnghkio Township.
