Interim President U Myint Swe passed away today, August 7, at 8:28 a.m. at the No. 2 Military Hospital (1,000 beds), the National Defense and Security Council announced.
He was 74 years old at the time of his death and suffered from Parkinson’s Disease and related neurological disorders.
It was also learned that the funeral will be held as a state funeral.
