Yangon Galacticos emerged as the champions of the 2025 PUBG MOBILE WORLD CUP (PMWC 2025) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They received a warm welcome from the public and officials upon their arrival at Myanmar International Airport around noon on August 7.
Representing Myanmar, the Yangon Galacticos were honored by the Myanmar Electronic Sports Federation during a ceremony for national esports athletes, as well as for all sports-loving fans. Various departments came together to congratulate the team and other national athletes who achieved success.
“We have paved the way for our country’s future generations to compete. We aim to support the world of esports with a broader vision. We won a total of $547,000 in prize money,” stated the Yangon Galacticos, Myanmar’s national esports team.

The Yangon Galacticos rightfully claimed the World Cup title during the PMWC 2025 competition on the global stage.
A grand welcome ceremony will be held today at 4 PM in the public square to celebrate the Yangon Galacticos PUBG team from Myanmar, who proudly clinched the first world championship title for the country at the PUBGM World Cup 2025. The event will feature a large crowd, including well-known artists, along with entertainment programs, photo opportunities with the players, and the world championship trophy.

On July 25, 24 global PUBG teams, including the champion Yangon Galacticos, competed in Saudi Arabia. The top 16 teams advanced to the Grand Final, which took place over three days, from August 1 to 3. The Yangon Galacticos displayed exceptional skills and rightfully earned the title of World Level 1 Champions, winning $547,000 in the process, as reported by Liquipedia.
The PMWC 2025 tournament boasted a total prize pool of $3,005,000. Weibo Gaming Esports from China secured second place, winning $323,500, while third place went to Alpha Gaming from Mongolia, which received $222,000, according to Liquipedia.
