The State Administrative Council has invited individuals from armed opposition organizations known as the PDF to return to legal fold and is providing necessary assistance to those who comply. Recently, members of the TNLA, Danu DPLA, and MDY PDF, who had been operating in Naung Cho town for a year, fled the area after suffering significant losses, resulting in hundreds of deaths. As a consequence, 69 individuals have returned from these groups.
The Tatmadaw has successfully regained control of the Taung Kham area and Naung Cho town, which were previously held by insurgents. The local ethnic community is welcoming and supportive of the Tatmadaw, cooperating enthusiastically with them. This collaboration has led many armed members to understand the peace process, prompting their return to lawful activities. From July 17 to July 22, 4 members of TNLA, 41 members of DPLA, and an unspecified number from the PDF lost their lives. Overall, 60 individuals returned and surrendered 13 weapons, 1,515 rounds of ammunition, and 12 magazine pouches.

On the previous day, 9 individuals from the MDY-PDF group, including 7 men and 2 women, renounced their armed struggle and returned to lawful society via nearby military camps. They expressed a desire to live peacefully and trust the Tatmadaw’s peace process. Officials welcomed them, provided the necessary assistance, and returned them to their families.
As the government welcomes back individuals who have engaged with the legal system, it provides necessary support and helps reunite them with their families. However, there are still those who wish to reintegrate into the legal framework. Individuals looking to return should promptly contact the nearest district or township administrative offices, military camps, or police stations to report their intentions. They will be welcomed back and appropriately rewarded for any weapons or ammunition surrendered.
