On the first day of the re-conducted matriculation examination on June (16), 62,824 Myanmar subject students appeared for the examination.
On the first day of the re-conducted matriculation examination, a total of (63,673) students registered to take the examination at a total of (195) examination centers in (29) districts and (58) townships in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Kachin State, Sagaing Region, and Mandalay Region, and (62,824) students appeared for the examination.
In addition, a total of (12,531) students registered to take the examination at a total of (47) examination centers in (4) districts and (8) townships in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, and (12,407) students appeared for the examination.
On March (28), a strong earthquake caused a building collapse and fire at Mandalay University’s main building during the marking of university matriculation examination answer sheets. As a result, the answer sheets of 62,954 students from Mandalay, Sagaing and Kachin States who had taken the matriculation examination (Grade 12) were destroyed.
Students from these states and regions will have to retake the matriculation examination from June (16) to (21). #matriculation #examination #earthquake #Myanmar #mtnews
