Enrollment for basic education schools for the 2025-2026 academic year has begun today.
The Ministry of Education has announced that the enrollment week will be from May 22 to June 1, and there will be no fee for enrollment, and students will be provided with free school books, pens, pencils, and school uniforms.
However, due to insufficient textbooks for some classes, old and new books are being distributed to students from previous years.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, enrollment week was held from May 23 to June 2, and the number of students enrolled was nearly 6.4 million, and more than 97 percent of the enrolled students attended school when basic education schools first opened.
