The traditional event, including competitions, will proceed as usual, according to Naing Aye Oo, the Secretary of the organizing committee for the Kason water-pouring festival,
There will be teams from all wards of Ywalut village in Chaungzon township, Mon State, participating in the festival, which involves pouring water on banyan trees. Participants will be awarded points based on their attire and cooperation on the full moon day of Kason, 22 May. Prizes will be distributed accordingly.
Furthermore, the festival usually attend tens of thousands of people from nearby villages.
