Most of the hotel rooms at Chaungtha and Ngwehsaung beaches were packed with bookings for the Thingyan holidays, according to some hotels.
According to some hotels, there are only a few rooms left for the period from 13 to 16 April.
Popular destinations include beaches like Chaungtha and Ngwehsaung, recently trending Ngwetaung beach, Kyaukkalat beach, and famous attractive sites such as Bagan, Inle and Taunggyi, while there are some outbound travels.
“No room is available for 13-14 April. Some are available for 15 and 16. It is a two-minute walk from the room to the beach. A double room with aircon costs Ks-120,000 and can accommodate three people. A triple room at Ks-150,000 can accommodate four people,” said a service provider for renting hotels in Ngwehsaung.
Public interest in visiting Chaungtha and Ngwehsaung beaches together with other trips during Thingyan has been increasing.
