Between the two armed forces of Myanmar- Russia exchange medals

Yesterday at the Zeyathirri Villa was held a ceremony to exchange medals between the armed forces of Myanmar and Russian Federation to promote military and military technology cooperation including strategic partnership between the two countries. Present were Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. Also present were Deputy Minister of Defence of Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander Vasilyevich Fomin, Chairman of Public Relations Council, Ministry of Defence, Russia, Mr. Pavel GUSEV, Military Attaché Colonel KURCHENKO Sergei Semyonovich and senior Russian military officers and officials.

The Senior General conferred Thiri Thiha Kyaw medals and insignia to Colonel KURCHENKO Sergei Semyonovich, Captain 2nd rank YASHIN Dmitry Valerievich, and Captain 2nd rank SHILKOV Vitaly Vasilyevich, and Thiri Thura Kyaw medal and insignia to Colonel (Rtd) SARATOV Sergei Nikolaevich. Captain2nd rank YASHIN Dmitry Valerievich of the Defence Ministry of Russia read out the Order NO. 77 dated 17 January 2024, to confer Performance in International Military Cooperation Development medal and Battlefield Comrade Spirit Promotion medal to senior military officers of Myanmar for the excellent performance in international military cooperation.

Deputy Minister of Defence of Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander Vasilyevich Fomin conferred Performance in International Military Cooperation Development medal on Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The Russian Deputy Minister individually conferred Performance in International Military Cooperation Development medals on Vice-Senior General Soe Win, General Mya Tun Oo, General Maung Maung Aye, Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Admiral Moe Aung and senior military officers.
